The attached 21 track playlist "Welcome to the Party Mix" is hosted on Spotify which is a jab itself as Apple has chose to not yet support direct Spotify playback on HomePod that Sonos offers.

Alibaba cuts into the market with its self-developed artificial intelligence and cloud technologies, while Xiaomi is backed by its broad product mix of hardware, which will enable the two companies to catch up, say they analyst.

How does Apple´s HomePod compare to Amazon Echo and Google Home?

For one, Siri is just not smart enough to compete with Amazon's Alexa or Google's Home assistant, creating frustrations for reviewers.

More: A smart home sounds like a great idea.

However, in other areas the device is limited by how locked into Apple's own ecosystem it is.

Unlike in the Alexa app, meanwhile, there's no log of what Siri heard and what her response was.

The Google Home Max is available in Chalk and Charcoal for $399. One, a home speaker that Apple hopes will "reinvent home music" and 2, an intelligent home assistant to help perform tasks such as playing music, reading the news, sending and receiving iMessages, setting reminders, providing answers to general questions, checking the weather and more. But it must be said that the Amazon device delivers the best AI capabilities.

In Australia, Google's Home has been available for some time, while Amazon's Alexa devices - the Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Plus - was only released this month, finally bringing Antipodeans in line with their United States brethren. Each of these devices is compatible with three major ecosystems, meaning that smart home support is pretty standard across the device range. Admittedly, this fine-tuning will come in the way of software updates in the future, but the fact remains that Google Home still dominates voice search and functionality.

HomePod's high-excursion woofer - which can travel 20mm, peak-to-peak - makes a key difference compared to other smart speakers; filling the room with deep and resonate audio.

Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced HomePod last June at WWDC 2017, saving it for the traditionally important "one last thing" slot at the end of his speech.

The device has two main purposes...

One of the worst HomePod limitations is its inability to distinguish different voices, meaning anyone can ask the HomePod to read or send text messages on behalf of the HomePod owner if the owner said yes to all the setup prompts, according to the Verge. The recently released Apple HomePod is expected to reach a share of 8.9%, while the numbers for Alibaba's and Xiaomi's smart speakers will be 6.3% and 5.1% respectively.

There is no doubt that Google has a big advantage over the other two competitors thanks to its emphasis on searching, and this is indeed reflected in the performance of its system.

Google Home Max launched this week.

That's how I was able to play Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, SiriusXM and other services through the speaker, without any assistance from Siri.
