Despite Hideo Kojima or Kojima Productions no longer working on the Metal Gear franchise, Konami is moving forward with the franchise, this time pushing the stealth mechanics aside and focus on survival action.

The screenplay arc of Metal Gear Survive resumes where the one of the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zero ended.

If you're interested in testing out the beta, you only need to nab the beta version of the game via Steam, Xbox One or PlayStation 4 on the various storefronts.

Available on all platforms, the beta will run through February 18, 2018 and allow PC players to experience game's co-op mode for the first time before launch. At the very least, you know you'll be able to stroll into the game looking stylish. The launch trailer shows off quite a few of the larger, more monstrous foes walking these wastelands. The video as of this writing has no comments, but it has more dislikes than it does likes. Along with these features, you will also have to improve your survival skills in an unforgiving world. Again, it's best to research all of this stuff for yourself if you are planning on picking up a copy. Metal Gear Survive was already fighting an uphill battle, and so one would have thought Konami would want to do all it could to avoid giving people more reasons to criticize the game.
