Apple is testing prototypes of the larger model with a display resolution of 2688 x 1242. D32 is the codename for a device that'll serve as an update to the standard-sized iPhone X. Like the bigger iPhone, this model is expected to utilize Apple's new A12 processor and feature a stainless steel band around the perimeter. "We saw that with the iPhone 6, and we think this is setting up to be a similar step-up in growth". Images displayed on the big screen could be as sharp as that of iPhone X. The same expensive OLED technology is still considered to be used.

The craze of the big screen smartphones have gone down in past few years however experts believe that the new phones could revive the screen size wars amongst the companies. However, Apple is reportedly plotting to top that with a iPhone nearly 6.5-inches in size.

The larger version will retain the Face ID scanner to unlock the device and make payments.

Apple's 2018 lineup for its iPhone has been detailed yet again, this time by Bloomberg.

Apple is secretly working on a new phone with a massive 6.5 inch screen, Bloomberg has claimed.

Would a 6.5-inch iPhone bring you back to Apple smartphones?

Perhaps more interesting is Apple's decision to apparently go for the economy market. The phone is expected to be named as the iPhone X Plus. The new low-priced iPhone model will feature bezel-less display as the iPhone X and it will also feature Face ID instead of a traditional TouchID fingerprint scanner. These larger models could ship in a new gold color on top of the black and silver options now available for the iPhone X. Over the weekend, however, an alleged photo of a 6.5-inch iPhone display leaked online (that would be the alleged iPhone X Plus).

It successfully clicked some of the constructing photos of iPhone X Plus that shows it is enormous in size as compared to iPhone X. Having a 6.5-inch display, the smartphone will most probably come with the somewhat similar design of its preceding.

The large iPhone model, codenamed D33, is Apple's attempt to appeal to consumers looking for the multitasking abilities of the phone-tablet hybrids called phablets, according to Bloomberg.

To keep costs down, the cheaper phone will use LCD screen technology similar to the type employed in the iPhone 8.
