The force is strong in Hollywood as Star Wars legend Mark Hamill received his star at the Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

"Just tell her to feel free to use this gesture if her classmates give her any grief", the actor wrote back, using a gif of Skywalker brushing off Kylo Ren's attack in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Hamill, also a social media Jedi Knight with millions of followers across his platforms, responded to the distressed mother. But not to take away from Hamill's day, it was the mention of our beloved Carrie Fisher that really proved to be one of the most memorable moments of the ceremony.

"They are the most passionate, loyal people".

"I'm very proud of Mark for getting this star", Lucas said. They emphasized Hamill's infectious enthusiasm, with Lucas calling him "a character that can't be written".

In his speech before the reveal, Hamill thanked his fans. "He is extremely enthusiastic about everything that he does, and that's exactly what I was looking for when I was looking for Luke Skywalker".

"I haven't been this speechless since 'Force Awakens, '" he joked in a nod to the first episode of the sequel trilogy in which he briefly appeared but said nothing.

Hamill's "Star Wars" co-star Ford says he prepared himself for the event by going back and re-watching his original screen test with the actor. "If it weren't for the genius of George Lucas, I wouldn't be standing here today..." His most famous of those roles is perhaps the Joker in "Batman: The Animated Series". "So whatever fates led me to his doorstep, he changed my life in a way that still reverberates today". Ford continued, describing Hamill as "quiet, sincere, and honest".
