Fortnite Mobile Soars to Top of iOS Store With Limited Availability

The game is available on the Google Play Store from Tencent, the Chinese giant who gobbled up the rights to publish PUBG on mobile past year.

With Fortnite Battle Royale sign-ups for iOS now live and an Android release "coming in the next few months", developer Epic Games has unleashed a Fortnite Battle Royale trailer with footage captured on iPhone X.

"We're aware of issues with logging in and signing up on Fortnite mobile, our website, and the launcher". This roll out will continue slowly over the next couple of weeks, and then the publisher should launch Fortnite in the App Store proper for anyone who wants it.

Most complaints were similar, with someone else buying expansions, cosmetic upgrades or in-game currency for "Fortnite" or "Fortnite Save the World".

If none of these apply to you and the game still keeps crashing, keep an eye on the Fortnite Twitter. If you haven't already you may be required to create an Epic Games account.

"Identified - Players are now blocked from accessing the Epic Games launcher and websites". You can even download the game (for free, naturally) but you can't actually play it at the moment, so that way lies potential misery. Secondly, the game will take up 2 gigs of space on your device, which means if you have a slow internet connection or little space on your phone you'll have to the download size.

How to download the game on iOS device?

Fortnite has tweeted that fans should look out for false invite links and you can see the real links in the tweet below. They can send out their own invite to the game and get you to skip the waiting list.

"If you don't receive an invite right away, don't worry", explains Epic Games. But a new Android version of PUBG is awesome, and it's now available for Android... if you're in Canada.

Like most reviewers, Brian Crecente over at Rolling Stone's Glixel praised Fortnite mobile for being a faithful recreation of the core game, but had concerns over the controls.
