Quotable moment: Billy Graham played a round with JFK in Palm Beach

His casket sits inside his childhood home at the Billy Graham Library in southwest Charlotte.

The man called "America's Pastor" is lying in repose in a closed casket at the home his father built in 1927 on their Charlotte dairy farm, which was long ago swallowed by urban sprawl. Later this week his body will lie in honor in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington before a return to Charlotte for a funeral and burial Friday.

Thousands of admirers and spectators flocked Asheville, North Carolina in the United States to watch the funeral procession and pay tribute to the late Reverend Billy Graham on Saturday.

"For me, every time I think about him, I feel like I'm 11 again", Clinton said.

WBTV in Charlotte first reported that Trump would attend the funeral. "I remember at his last stadium meeting here in Charlotte, the mayor of Charlotte told us he was riding out on the platform with Billy, and everybody was cheering, and Billy said, 'Wait a minute".

"My husband said for the last six years, 'if there's a time that Billy Graham passes before we do, we are dropping everything, I don't care what or when and we are going to pay our respects, '" Dawn said.

The Reverend Billy Graham was 99 years old. Invitations were sent to all ex-presidents of the U.S. "Billy Graham and Dad were great buddies and I know he wished he could come too, but he's not moving around much these days".

"It's quite an honor", said one woman who traveled from Virginia.

The White House has confirmed that Trump will be attendance at Graham's funeral.

"I had a miscarriage, and I was trying to find out if God was real, if Jesus was real, and I used his book 'Hope for Each Day.' It really helped me to believe in Jesus", she said.

He will be buried beside his wife, Ruth, at the foot of the cross-shaped brick walkway in the Prayer Garden, on the northeast side of the Billy Graham Library.
