A statue of disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein dressed in a bathrobe has been unveiled in Los Angeles. It depicts the disgraced media titan sitting on a "casting couch", wearing a silk robe and holding an Oscar, a scene reminiscent from so numerous allegation against him. "Hopefully now in the light of recent allegations, against many leading figures in Hollywood the industry will clean up it's act".

The statue can be found in the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Hollywood, by the Dolby Theater, which is also the same place where the 90th Academy Awards will be held.

The all-gold statue features Weinstein sitting on his infamous casting couch, which is propped on top of a red carpet.

The statue, called "Casting Couch", is located near the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is collaboration between street artists Plastic Jesus, popularly known for his yearly Oscar season installations that take aim at the dark side of show business, and Joshua "Ginger" Monroe, the artist behind the well-known naked Donald Trump statues.

A Harvey Weinstein casting couch statue appeared near the Oscars venue ahead of Sunday's ceremony.

"The whole couch and the entire image it gives off was to me a visual representation of the practices and methods that are used in Hollywood with these big powerful people", he said.

The sculpture, which is life-sized, took two months to create.

Weinstein was one of the movie industry's most influential men, powering independent movies such as "The King's Speech" and "Shakespeare in Love" to Oscar best picture wins. Weinstein has since apologized and plans to "do right" by those he has hurt. However, this wouldn't be the first time Weinstein was turned into a sculpture. He has denied allegations of non-consensual sexual contact.
