Overnight a front will move into the state and begin to slide down Florida on its way to us.

The next round of rain with some embedded thunder possible southwest arrives after 6 p.m. across west Alabama, central after 9 p.m. and east after that.

Wednesday we will see the cooler air braking through Temps will be in the upper 30s Wednesday morning. Lows tonight fall into the mid to upper 40s as winds shift back to the north.

Wednesday could start with a few showers and then there is a chance for a rain and snow mix in the evening. Highs on Tuesday will be in the lower to middle 40s. These likely will be below severe limits, but some gusty winds and heavy rain are not out of the question.

Hope you enjoyed this weekend's lovely weather because big changes are on the way for the Tennessee Valley starting tonight!

Rain will continue for the early hours and for the first part of the day, followed by some brief clearing, which should provide for a little bit of sunshine by the afternoon with highs in the upper 50s.

A super warm ground should limit any accumulation, but grassy surfaces could see a light coating.

When temperatures flirt with the freezing mark Tuesday afternoon we can see a scattered mix of rain and snow showers especially along the I-94 areas. There is a small chance for another system, but we will have to watch if that moves south of us or not.
