In 2017 Dunaway read the wrong best picture victor after the pair was handed the best actress category envelope.

An anonymous source told Us Weekly that Beatty and Dunaway - who are scheduled to present - will start Sunday's Oscars by presenting last year's Best Picture award to Moonlight, so the cast and crew can properly experience the moment that many felt was taken from them.

"As they say, presenting is lovelier the second time around", Dunaway added.

"The Oscar Experience", Circle Cinema's annual Academy Awards party on the big screen, will feature a red carpet, photo ops, food and drinks, Oscar ballots and prize giveaways, with host Erin Christy leading the festivities, beginning with red-carpet introduction at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

The fantasy drama beat out Call Me by Your Name, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, Get Out, Lady Bird, Phantom Thread, The Post and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Even though it was not their fault, the screen legends were ridiculed previous year for announcing the wrong victor.

As he showed her the envelope, she took it from him before revealing that La La Land was the victor.

We must admit, there were plenty of us still holding our breath after the announcement, just in case they had mixed it all up again.

Kimmel hoped for a better result at this year's ceremony.

If at first you don't succeed, try again! These are the 90th Academy Awards.

At one point, a man can be seen racing across the stage wearing a headset and holding an envelope, and even host Jimmy Kimmel looked puzzled. But you can bet on a few things - a crowd full of Hollywood's biggest stars are going to rise to their feet and the right kind of history is going to made.

Now it's time for some celebration and laughter one year later, with Beatty and Dunaway triumphantly striding out on the Oscar stage with that right envelope.
