Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Wednesday into Thursday morning, with a look at conditions through the weekend. This means you can expect scattered showers and perhaps a few rumbles for Mother's Day. This will be the hottest weekend since last fall with high temps near 90-degrees on Saturday...mid to upper 80's on Sunday. Winds: Variable 5-10 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. East wind 8 to 17 miles per hour becoming south southeast in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42.

Today, partly sunny and warm.

Thursday is also forecast to be sunny with a high around 85. High pressure gives way to the next system by Sunday. Mostly cloudy with a low around 69. Lows in the mid and upper 50s. Friday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest winds 0 to 8 miles per hour. Night: mostly cloudy to overcast with a 60 percent chance for showers with between one-tenth and one-quarter inch expected.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Patchy dense fog, especially along the coast. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. We'll be warming up as we continue forward through next week with highs hitting 80° again next Wednesday.

There's a 30 percent chance for showers and storms overnight, mainly after 5 the low falls to around 57.
