President Trump may join Vice President Pence at NRA convention in Dallas

"Due to the attendance of the Vice President of the United States, the U.S. Secret Service will be responsible for event security at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum".

Those attending the NRA Leadership Conference in Dallas are on notice that no firearms or "weapons of any kind", or ammunition, will be allowed in the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center "prior to and during" Pence's appearance on May 4.

The NRA banned guns at their convention because Mike Pence is speaking but if the only solution to gun violence is more guns then why don't they just give everyone a gun at the door instead? He was not one of the politicians rated on the NRA's most-recent grades in 2010.

The NRA spent more than $30 million to help elect Trump in the 2016 presidential election and provided a boon of conservative bona fides at a time when Trump's candidacy was met with skepticism by many who doubted his conservative credentials.

Survivors of the Parkland, Florida school shooting, which claimed the lives of 17 people, spoke out on Twitter about the president addressing the NRA event as well as the fact that guns are banned at the gathering.

Fred Guttenberg, father of Jaime Guttenberg, one of many 17 individuals murdered on February 14, additionally went after the NRA. Responses have come from student Cameron Kasky and Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter Jaime was killed in the shooting. But when they put on a convention, the weapons are a concern?
