Lucas told police that is wife began attacking him because of his poor performance in the Player's Championship earlier in the day. With 80 players making the original 36-hole cut, rules required that only the top 70 plus ties advanced to the final round. She said she was trying to break up a fight between her son and his wife when her daughter-in-law attacked her instead.

She is reported to have then removed her handcuffs inside the police vehicle, before saying: "Wait till the Tour hears about this, you will lose your job".

Krista Glover resisted deputies' efforts to place her in a patrol auto, according to the report, and her tirade continued on the ride to jail. St. Johns County deputies said Krista Glover forcefully tried to separate herself from the arresting deputy and refused to be placed into a patrol vehicle.

It adds: "Krista proceeded to wrap her legs and feet around the door frame of the auto".

"Wait till the tour [PGA] hears about this", she shouted at the deputies, according to the report.

Both charges filed against Krista Glover are misdemeanors but carry up to a 1-year sentence if convicted.

The St. John's County Sheriff's Office website states that Krista Conley Glover was released on $2,500 bail and gives her address as Jupiter, Florida.

Glover won the 2009 US Open at Bethpage. While Lucas failed to qualify for the 2018 Players Championship, which was the catalyst for the alleged domestic violence between him and Krista, he does have a trio of wins under his belt.

The suspect's abusive behavior allegedly continued as officers attempted to take her into custody.

Lucas' mother intervened to get Krista to stop.

Krista was ultimately put into the auto, but she then began screaming and forcefully kicking the rear driver's side door of the patrol vehicle. "You will lose your job". This is why cops get shot in the face.

The couple got married in 2012 and has one child together. "Wait till I talk with the judge, you will be f--ing fired over this". She later hangs up the phone, but when the 911 dispatcher calls the number back, her husband Lucas Glover answered the phone.

Lucas agreed to complete a written statement but became "irrational" once Krista was placed in handcuffs.
