After the game, Harden cautioned against taking too much from the regular season series when he said "Obviously they're a championship caliber team for the past four years.and that's what we're trying to build our way up to".

Apparently, a 65-win season, the No. 1 seed in a brutal Western Conference and just two losses in the first two rounds will only get you so far these days. Can the Warriors play tighter defense like they did against the Spurs against the Rockets or will they find themselves in another up and down the floor type of series here?

Steph Curry was looking carefree, like the knee injury never happened. When it's May and buckets are hard to come by and everyone is running on fumes, you need a superstar to take over the game.

Kevin Durant praised coach Steve Kerr for easing Stephen Curry back from injury during the playoffs.

Capela serves as the league's leading blocker with 2.8 blocks per game and averages a gnarly 12.2 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors have a date with the Houston Rockets. So even with Durant just two seasons into his part in this Warriors story, do they have the edge and the will to keep it going? The Warriors lost five of their six games as underdogs during the regular season.

In the first quarter of the Warriors' 113-104 win over New Orleans, he took a break from jawing with Rajon Rondo and firing up his team to engage in some levity.

Green had another superb all-around night on both ends with 19 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Every team gets frustrated with Harden's free-throw attempt numbers, so the onus will be on Green and, to a lesser extent, Durant to limit him. And it begins Monday night in Houston.

The Western Conference Finals get underway in the Lone Star State with the two teams that most expected to be here squaring off.

However, it was a positive experience for the team led by Mitchell, who averaged 24.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in the postseason as a rookie. But Durant is confident that the reigning champions seeking their fourth straight National Basketball Association finals appearance have a team versatile enough to adapt to the challenges posed by the Rockets.

While the Rockets are playing in the Western Conference finals for the second time in four years and first since 2015, the Warriors have been a constant presence in the conference finals as of late.

Tucker finished 5 of 7 from behind the arc and helped the Rockets overcome pedestrian efforts from MVP candidate James Harden, who totaled 18 points on 7-of-22 shooting, and Eric Gordon, who missed 6 of 8 shots and had five points. "Timing can still get a little better with the ball, things like that, when you start to get so excited.I continue to get better, continue to get my timing right and continue to get back to the normal rotations, normal, you know, minutes that I'm out there playing, and hopefully won't look back".
