Ultimate, coming to Switch this December.

Along with all the announcements that came into the game - including the debut of Ridley from the Metroid series - Smash Bros. built up some insane hype during the Nintendo Direct by going in-depth with each of the major combatants.

"Perfect Shields" have also been adjusted, now requiring more precise timing to negate incoming damage. The game supports a variety of controller options, including Nintendo GameCube controllers (original or newly designed), Joy-Con controllers or the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Starting off in a rather weird note for Nintendo, Daemon X Machina has been revealed, bringing another Japanese mecha themed title to the hybrid console. It'll be coming sometime in 2019.

RPG entry Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is scoring some prequel DLC called Torna: The Golden Country.

As you might expect, the game has received quite a few new improvements. Nintendo is pumping up the list with free-to-play games with the announcement of Fortnite and Paladins. Wolf is back. The Ice Climbers are back.

A new Mario Party game, simply titled Super Mario Party, is headed to Switch with themed boards, dice rolls, and minigames aplenty. However, the Switch still has the classic Nintendo problem of a shallow game catalog. The trailer showed teams of two people each playing each other in Super Mario Party.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the first title in the series on Nintendo home hardware in 11 years, since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

Nearly every character has seen changes in the way they're used, from different sets of attacks to different designs, more customization options and other adjustments to improve the pace of the game, including a more natural progression system for obtaining new characters.

Fortnite has arrived on Nintendo Switch.

It was leaked ahead of the E3 2018, but Overcooked 2 has been officially confirmed.

If you'd like to get your hands on Super Smash Bros. The series has lost its way in recent years and long-term fans will be hoping for something more like Mario Party 6 (irrefutably the best Mario Party) than Mario Party 10 (irrefutably the worst).
