Warriors take 3-0 lead against Cavs

Just like previous year, the ball was in his hands on the left wing with a chance to hit a big shot to take a 3-0 lead in the series.

If Durant plays like he did last night-43 points, 13 points, seven assists, 65 percent shooting-the Cavaliers probably won't even manage the gentleman's sweep, despite how well LeBron James has been playing.

Golden State signed Durant as a free agent in the summer of 2016 after their team that went a record 73-9 in the regular season lost to Cleveland in Game 7 of the Finals, becoming the first team in league history to blow a 3-1 Finals lead. Iguodala last played May 20 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Rockets.

Golden State might have the services of Andre Igoudala back as his condition has been raised to questionable.

This was not exactly the same shot from Kevin Durant. But third quarters have kind of been our Achilles heel all year.

"Just for him, just as a person, to be healthy and be able to play in The Finals now that we're here, I think that would mean a lot to him and give us an emotional boost as well".

"That was unbelievable what he did out there tonight", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Durant.

The Cavaliers quickly established the lead in the game's opening minutes, scoring on their first five possessions, which included back-to-back 3-pointers by Kevin Love and J.R. Smith to open the game. He got 10 points from Kevin Love and a surprise 15 from Rodney Hood, who had just nine points in the last eight Cavs games, but it was not enough to fend off Durant's brilliance.

"That's what championship teams do", James said. He logged another triple-double with 33 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. He has taken Cleveland to the NBA Finals now five times, and this now looks certain to be his fourth loss in those.

"I know it feels like we're down 2-0, and I don't like the way I feel", James said from Cleveland Tuesday. But there were no late-game heroics this time like we've seen so many times in these playoffs.

Things quickly went in Golden State's favor after that, though, as the Warriors opened the third with a 17-6 run to take their first lead of the game. Because Durant went insane, scoring 24 points on 7-for-10 shooting, and Golden State kept getting to the free throw line.

"I guess because you are comfortable", he said.
