Bill De Blasio Calls for ABOLISHMENT of 'BROKEN' ICE

"To the great and courageous men and women of ICE, do not worry or lose your spirit", the president tweeted.

President Donald Trump fired off several tweets Saturday morning showing his support for the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), calling it "one of the smartest, toughest, and most spirited law enforcement groups".

Diaz said that immigrants trying to enter the United States are departing from "lawless nations", but attempting to do so illegally is contradictory. Dozens of people shut down a government meeting in MI in protest of a contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement to house detainees at a local jail.

Gillibrand called for an all-out elimination of ICE.

"I think they'll never win another election".

One Democratic aide in the House, who was not authorized to speak on the record, called proposals to abolish ICE "stupid" and said the strategy would "play right into Trumps hands".

"We [ICE] built family [detention] centers under that [Obama] administration", Homan added. And even if many Democrats aren't willing to say that ICE should be abolished, it's good that there are some (newly) prominent people out there saying it, so that we can have a discussion about whether ICE has gotten out of control and needs to be reformed.

"It was also entirely unclear which cities and town Trump meant were "literally taken over" by MS-13, which remains a small fraction of the overall gang problem in the USA, per available statistics", the report noted.

"I believe that it has become a deportation force, and I think you should separate the criminal justice from the immigration issues and I think you should re-imagine ice under a new agency with a very different mission and take those two missions out", Sen.

"Do you think ICE should be abolished?"

The departing director expressed some reservations about his retirement.

Eventually, Williams said that Democrats are trying to demonstrate that the issue is about "people who are seeking asylum under awful conditions" as opposed to being about drug dealers and crime as President Trump suggests. "Many jurisdictions continue to refuse to work with HSI because of a perceived linkage to the politics of civil immigration".

"I'm not leaving this fight", the former leader of the federal agency insisted, according to Fox News Insider. "That's where I want to have America change its policies and those that are called upon to implement it, they'll carry out a fair policy, not President Trump's policies".

Not just swing voters, but Democrats who don't live in NY and California certainly share numerous same concerns as Republicans in border states like Texas. "It's not clear if Vitiello will be nominated for the position". "Any nomination in the Senate would likely by highly contentious, as ICE has been the main focus of criticism regarding the president's aggressive immigration agenda".
