Chelsea after Wilfried Zaha

Instead, he is eager for a big-money move to Chelsea, with Maurizio Sarri potentially in the market for a marauding frontman should Willian leave.

Tottenham have pulled out of the race for Wilfried Zaha after Crystal Palace demanded £75million for the winger.

Zaha is a man in demand as the transfer window for Premier League clubs to make signings enters its final stretch.

Zaha is settled in London after leaving Palace in 2013 for an ill-fated spell at Old Trafford that saw him spend much of the next two seasons out on loan.

He has attracted interest from a number of clubs, with Spurs, Everton and Borussia Dortmund all having been linked, but according to The Mirror, he is keen to force a move to Chelsea.

Townsend has no intention of moving to Newcastle or anywhere else after declaring he wants to stay at Crystal Palace "for many years".

Today, Chelsea are favourites to sign Wilfried Zaha...

But Palace will only sanction a move if a huge offer arrives from the Premier League giants.

But the pair have been impressing under Roy Hodgson in pre-season with both players among the goals, including Kaikai bagging three goals in three games.

Palace had offered the Ivorian global a new £125,000-a-week deal in a desperate attempt to keep hold of their Player of the Year, but it seems the bright lights of Stamford Bridge are too appealing for the 25-year-old. And signing Zaha, before Thursday's transfer deadline day, could prove to be a step in that direction for the Blues.
