Paxton Lynch is mad after Broncos bury him

"He deserves a chance to be the [second-string] guy right now".

Lynch was disappointed, Joseph said, "but he understands that it's a performance business". He has great potential, great physical potential, but it's got to equal performance eventually, he understands that.

That said, I do not fault him for the pick of Paxton Lynch. "And everything we do, it's graded and it's counted".

Kelly completed 14-of-21 passes on Saturday for 177 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Kelly celebrated his promotion by sticking around after practice Monday and throwing passes to tight end Jake Butt and receiver River Cracraft for more than 20 minutes. That means that for the players on the bubble to make the team, these sessions can be highly important. "If you play well and you earn it, you push up and you get it".

Kelly led Denver's third-team offense on two scoring drives after Lynch's poor showing.

Kelly has had an up-and-down camp, but has taken advantage of the failures of Lynch, especially in their game against the Minnesota Vikings.

"The thing I was probably most impressed with was the way we came off the ball with our offensive line". And it's been that way since the spring. He had a great spring, he's had a great camp. "It's his turn to be No. 2".

On Monday, in the team's first practice since Kelly's standout first preseason game, No. 6 was running with the two's. "The depth chart is fluid", said Joseph.

"It's not over, we're still playing. It's a fair league".

Instead of spending money to go to games this year, Broncos fans can donate that money to getting Lynch out of Denver!

Like I have always told the players everywhere I have been, when you go out there and let's say you are at the bottom [of the roster], which I hope no one thinks they are at the bottom from a standpoint of their mentality ... "But right now, he's our backup". "Obviously, it's an honor and you're humbled by it and you love to be named by your peers, but we've got bigger things and bigger goals to worry about". Given the way Keenum's career has gone so far, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Lynch get some starts this season ... if he can beat out Chad Kelly.

Kelly knows he'll have his doubters. That's what it is, " he said. It's hard to find better tests for the Jaguars than the Vikings at this point.
