Manchester United have rejected Barcelona's offer of £45million plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes for Paul Pogba, according to reports.

Barcelona will be hard pressed to convince United to part with Pogba with the English transfer window set to shut on Thursday.

The Red Devils paid big money to snare Pogba away from Italian champions Juventus two years ago, but he has been subject to criticism at Old Trafford, while there are also question marks over his relationship with Jose Mourinho.

It was reported yesterday that Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, has reassured Barcelona that he will get Paul Pogba to move to the Nou Camp.

Jose Mourinho tells ESPN FC that the World Cup was the ideal habitat for Paul Pogba as he could 'only think about football'.

Pogba was inconsistent last season and was even dropped by the United boss for a spell in the second half of the season.

'I don't think it's about us getting the best out of him, it's about him giving the best he has to give, ' said Mourinho last month. Because it's closed for a month, where he can only think about football.

He was a regular in Mourinho's midfield, making 37 appearances in all competitions, and was impressive in the win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in April, scoring twice as United came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

Pogba has been linked with the Catalan giants throughout the summer and it was reported yesterday that United had turned down a cash-plus-players bid for the France worldwide.

FC Barcelona could feasibly complete a deal to sign Pogba any time between now and the end of August, when the European transfer window closes.
