Lions top Patriots for Patricia's first win

Tom Brady completed 14 of 26 passes for 133 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Patriots (1-2).

Darius Slay picked off Brady's pass at the Detroit 15 midway through the fourth quarter, helping the Lions seal the win.

One of the more intriguing storylines of what was an unusually odd offseason in New England, (complete with an equally unusual press conference from Gronkowski), numerous reports indicated that Gronkowski threatened to retire had the Patriots traded him.

Through two games this season, Gronkowski has nine catches for 138 yards and a touchdown. "You certainly don't want to give the ball back to them".

For fans looking to catch the game on television for free, one option is a free trial of a TV streaming service, such as Fubo TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV or YouTube TV - all of which offer some National Football League games, depending on the channels they serve.

The 29-year-old Amherst, NY native wasn't too enamoured with the idea of leaving for the Lions even with his defensive coordinator Matt Patricia heading to the Motor City as the team's new head coach.

"Yeah. It happened", Gronkowski said. "I'm not going anywhere without Brady". The Patriots still stuck with him as their primary option in the second half, over the more experienced James White, who ended up seeing his playing time spike (25 snaps) at the end of the game when the Patriots were clearly in pass-first mode. The Patriots drove 57 yards in 11 plays but had to settle for Stephen Gostkowski's 36-yard field goal when they failed to convert a third-and-1 situation.
