Nintendo fans were brimming with anticipation in the lead-up to Nintendo Direct on September 6, where the company was expected to reveal new games and info about its Switch and 3DS platforms. For example, we now know that Nintendo Switch Online is coming september 18. These will include Super Mario Bros, Ice Climbers, and the original Legend of Zelda.

"Depending on the game, players can engage in online competitive or co-op multiplayer, or take turns controlling the action", Nintendo said earlier this year. Notice how the words "Nintendo Switch Online" are nowhere to be found. Online play, Save Data Cloud backup and Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app features available in compatible games.

Nintendo just kicked off another Nintendo Direct presentation, and it opened with something fans have been dreaming of for a long time. Nintendo will also offer a family bundle for $34.99 that allows up to eight people to use the same subscription. You will only be able to unlink a user account from a Nintendo Account until 8 p.m. ET on Sep.

What else might be planned for the Direct is unclear, as at the moment the only thing we know is that it'll last roughly 35 minutes and start at 11pm on Thursday, September 13.
