Talking about the triple camera setup on the rear, the Galaxy A7 (2018) sports 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The triple camera setup on the Galaxy A7 has been equipped with Scene Optimizer, which categorises the subject and adjusts the colour, contrast and brightness to optimise image quality.

Unlike the P20 Pro and the iPhone XS, the Galaxy A7's price point puts it in the midrange category. It is disappointing that the Galaxy A7 (2018) does not feature a telephoto lens, so it appears that this hardware addition is not going to be present in mid-range handsets for the future. Samsung stated that the device would be available in European markets first and it will be available for purchase in Asian markets including India in October.

Naturally, there's also a front camera which comes with a selfie-friendly 24-megapixel sensor. But the Galaxy A7 does show that Samsung's DJ Koh meant it when he said a few days ago that Samsung would bring novel features to mid-range phones for a change. The fingerprint sensor on Galaxy J6+ is embedded in the power button on the right side, while Galaxy J4+ relies on face unlock for unlocking the device.

Additional models will be available in various regions, with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Samsung's new phone runs on an octa-core 2.2GHz processor, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Like its more premium counterpart, the tablet also comes built with four speakers that have been enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology. Connectivity options on board include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 5.0, USB Type-B, NFC (optional) 4G VoLTE and Global Positioning System, among others. The dimensions are 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm and it weighs 168 grams.
