TMZ shared news of Miller's passing on September 7, revealing that the rapper's body had allegedly been found around noon today at his San Fernando Valley home.

His charming delivery also helped land him a reality series, "Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family", in 2013, which ran for two seasons on MTV2.

The website reported that Miller had battled substance abuse issues and that the problem was a factor in his break-up with Ariana Grande.

"I really wouldn't want just happiness", he said during an interview that took place last month but was published on Thursday. Just last month, the Los Angeles Attorney's Office officially charged the rapper with a DUI stemming from a auto accident in May in the San Fernando Valley.

Mac Miller - born Malcolm James McCormick in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1992 - released his debut studio album, Blue Slide Park, in November 2011. Mac Miller was 26.

TMZ reports authorities were alerted by one of Miller's male friends, who called 911 from the rapper's home.

Swimming, which has numerous hallmarks of a breakup-and-heal album, debuted at No. 3 when it came out. This year, his release Swimming hit No 3 on the Billboard 200 list of top albums. Grande went on to date "Saturday Night Live" actor Pete Davidson, to whom she's now engaged.

"A lot of times in my life I've put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived". I wish it started tomorrow. You know, it's all positive energy.

Grande tweeted back in defence, "how absurd that you minimise female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them, which btw isn't the case (just Cinderella is ab me)". "He was there for her in her time of need after Manchester, and she will always love him for that", our source told us.
