Andre Drummond Calls Joel Embiid 'Emmy Award Winning Actor'

Joel Embiid is confident when Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is guarding him.

Embiid had 33 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and just one turnover in 39 minutes against Drummond, who was eventually his with his second technical foul and ejected in the fourth quarter for striking Embiid in the face.

The Bucks scored 49 points in the second quarter to turn a 12-point deficit into a 71-64 halftime advantage.

As our Drew Packham pointed out in the latest About Last Night filing, the two big men were going at each other all game.

"He didn't feel as comfortable as we would've wanted", 76ers coach Brett Brown said before Tuesday's game. Unfortunately, Giannis' triple-double was a little bit heftier, as he finished the game with 32 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists.

"Some of us tried to stop him, and he just had an awesome day", said Dario Saric, who scored 14 points for Philly.

The two 7-footers still embraced afterward, and the beef went dormant in their final two showdowns last season - two more Sixers wins, one by 40 points and another that indeed saw Embiid rest. Jackson made both free throws.

Lance Stephenson had 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists off the bench, and JaVale McGee led five starters in double figures with 20 points. That night marked the Sixers debut for reserve post player Mike Muscala, who had missed the first three games with a sprained left ankle.

The foul had originally been called after Embiid appeared to get slightly tangled up with Drummond after scoring a go-ahead bucket in the paint.

The Bucks overcame early ice-cold shooting before gradually taking control.

Philadelphia 76ers' Amir Johnson (5) is fouled by Milwaukee Bucks' Ersan Ilyasova during the first half of an NBA basketball game Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, in Milwaukee.

Griffin's output was the highest for a Pistons player since Richard Hamilton scored 51 points on December 27, 2006 triple-overtime loss to the New York Knicks.
