Bomb parcels sent to homes of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama

CNN evacuated its NY bureau after the pipe bomb was found in the mailroom together with an envelope containing white powder.

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters was also the addressee on a package inspected by Secret Service at Capitol Hill Wednesday afternoon.

Trump says he received a briefing from federal officials earlier Wednesday on what he called the "despicable acts". Dianne Feinstein's in West Los Angeles Thursday evening.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders issued a statement condemning the "attempted violent attacks".

Last week an association representing White House correspondents accused Trump of "cheerleading" violence against the media after the president applauded an assault by a congressman on a reporter.

"Words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that".

Nick Merrill, a spokesman for Hillary Clinton, said in a tweet that "nothing got to any home".

The device sent to Soros' home in Westchester County was constructed from a six-inch-long pipe filled with explosive powder.
