The Secret Service said neither package reached its intended recipient.

Interestingly, none of the found packages so far have detonated and no one has been injured.

"I hope there's a couple [of segments] where I interrogate [Trump], I arrest him, and then I take him to jail", the actor said.

"It does remain possible that further packages have been or could be mailed", William Sweeney, assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, told an afternoon news conference in NY.

CBS News reported early Thursday that an explosive device was also sent to former Vice President Joe Biden.

News reports that the package en route to De Niro, a vocal Trump critic who recently hurled F-bombs at the president during an awards speech, was discovered at his Manhattan office building.

First it was billionaire philanthropist George Soros: A pipe bomb was found on Monday in his mailbox in Westchester County, New York.

However, right now, there's no proof if she sent the packages.

Those devices were sent to Hillary and Bill Clinton and former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, Rep.

NY police said it has sent officers to the Time Warner Center, where the CNN bureau is located, to investigate reports of a suspicious package.

The president, meanwhile, accused the media of stirring up "anger" as the United States reels from the series of suspicious packages and pipe bombs.

The New York City Police Department says the package was reported around 4 a.m.in the area of Greenwich and Franklin streets in Tribeca. The package was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan.

"Stop blaming others. Look in the mirror".

Bryan Paarmann, the FBI Special Agent in Charge, said it appears a person or persons sent out multiple packages.

On Wednesday, officials said that similar devices were sent to people, including Obama, Clinton and Representative Maxine Waters of California - all Democrats.

William F. Sweeney Jr., assistant director in charge of the FBI New York field office, asked people to remain vigilant, warning that more devices "have been or could be mailed". Thus, the number of explosive devices sent to several critics of trump and the NY office of CNN, has increased to 8.

In a statement, CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said: "There is a total and complete lack of understanding at the White House about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media".

Eric Holder: The package was addressed to the former attorney general, but sent to the Florida office of Schultz, whose return address was on the package. "It's a time of deep divisions and we have to do everything we can to bring our country together", said the former secretary of state at an event in Florida.

"An explosive sent to CNN prompted the evacuation of the Time Warner Center in NY, but no one was hurt".

The White House condemned the attempted attacks, saying "terrorising acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law". Investigators say it appears to be from the same sender. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!'

Coming two weeks before midterm elections, the thwarted attacks Wednesday caused renewed soul-searching - and finger pointing - about whether Trump has fanned passions to unsafe levels.

But the episode sparked an outcry from Trump's critics who said his frequent expressions of inflammatory rhetoric against perceived enemies among Democrats and the press was stoking a climate ripe for politically motivated violence.
