Melania Trump declared her support for Brett Kavanaugh as she toured Egypt on Saturday, hours before the judge was confirmed to the United States supreme court by the Senate and during the first lady's final stop on her solo tour of Africa.

Make no mistake, everything the First Lady wears is calculated, from a simple dress to a "I really don't care, do u?".

She laughingly said she has told him to put the phone down. She did not answer but said she is "against any kind of abuse or violence". "Sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn't".

The stylish former model also said she did not always agree with her husband's tweets and gave him her opinion directly, even though he does not always follow her advice.

Kavanaugh has denied the charge and on Saturday was on track for confirmation to a lifetime appointment on America's highest court.

Apart from the interruption at JKIA, heavy traffic is expected along major roads as the US First Lady will be making her way to Nairobi.

Melania said she never heard her husband "saying those comments" and 'nobody discussed that with me'.

She demonstrated her independence from her husband in ways large and small - like talking up USA foreign aid that he's tried to slash and ignoring the Fox-only edict that the president imposes on TV screens when he's aboard Air Force One.
