If you are extremely excited about playing this game and don't want anything at all spoiled - what the heck are you doing here, buddy?

Just days before the official launch of Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2, the developer has taken to their blog to announce a Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app. As mentioned, you can check the in-game map using the app. you can pan and zoom, set waypoints and mark areas of interest by tapping on the screen of your device.

In particularly heavy scenarios, Red Dead Redemption 2 does stick closer to its 30 frames-per-second target when comparing the base PS4 and base Xbox One.

Both Android and iOS devices are getting an interactive "Red Dead Redemption 2" map on October 26, developer Rockstar Games announced this week.

And for those who enjoy a bit of light reading, it homes the full digital game manual and an optional digital version of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Complete Official Guide.

By way of the companion app that's coming on Friday on Android and iOS, you'll be able to connect your PS4 or Xbox One and operate the game's map and read protagonist Arthur Morgan's lore-filled journal. As it is, they remind us of what games can be, creating a majestic sense of place and time and allowing you to play your role in the way only this medium allows.
