As promised by Rockstar Games, the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, called Red Dead Online, will assault gamers this week!

Are you excited to finally get your hands on Red Dead Online this week?

On top of that, people who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 will gain access to the mode tomorrow.

Players should bear in mind that Online's initial launch will be as a beta, so there'll probably be a deluge of glitches and errors to encounter in the days to come. If it comes even remotely close to mirroring the success of Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Online will be a major cash cow for Rockstar. There are no specific release times for the latter dates.

It's rare to see an online game launch without some sort of internet-based disaster, so Rockstar's staggered entry to the game makes sense. On Wednesday, it will open up to anyone who played the game when it launched on 26th October, and the following day it will be available for anyone who played the game between 26th and 29th October. Just remember that killing domestic animals will impact your Honor Rating, so it really depends how much you want that juicy whopper? Counting up the potential players, four full posses will be able to sling bullets at each other in each server.

While many players have been wandering through the wild west with the Van der Linde gang in Red Dead Redemption 2, many others will have been wondering when they'll be able to do exactly the same thing with their real life friends. Only time will tell, but if it's half as successful as GTA's version, expect Red Dead to take on a whole new kind of scale in the months to come.
