More than 30,000 people are expected to visit the White House in December. The first family Christmas card and ornament are on display in the East Garden Room. He marked the holiday season in front of 3,000 spectators on the Ellipse at the Presidential Park in front of the White House, where the tree remains today. The tree hails from a farm in Avery County, North Carolina, and was hand-selected by the National Christmas Tree Association.

The residence's official tree is keeping with a more traditional theme - a Fraser fir bearing 500 feet of blue velvet ribbon embroidered with the names of every state and territory.

During December, the White House will open its doors for more than 100 open house events.

The East Wing features a Gold Star Family Tree - decorated by Gold Star families - which honors the troops and families who have fought for the country's freedom. "Gold stars and patriotic ribbon decorate the tree and visitors are encouraged to write messages to their loved ones who are on duty or overseas on the digital tablets provided".

Each showcases a skyline from a different American city: New York, St. Louis, Chicago, and San Francisco. They are decorated with 14,000 red ornaments that are meant to symbolize valor and bravery. The State Dining Room celebrates national symbols, including "the bald eagle, the rose, and the oak tree". "For the 51st year, the White House Crèche will also be on display".

Another tree that catches Trump's eyes is red-themed and features glass soccer balls and skateboards, ornaments displaying the first lady's anti-cyberbullying campaign slogan, "Be Best", and for some reason, a wreath made of sharpened "Be Best" pencils. Replica tables of state dinners from the Theodore Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Trump administration have been set in the China Room.

America's Christmas Tree will be on display in front of the White House in full glory starting this week.
