Florida produced some of the nation's closest results in the November 6 midterm elections, including DeSantis's apparent narrow victory over Gillum.

The Senate race in Florida between Democratic Senator Bill Nelson and Republican Governor Rick Scott, meanwhile, will get a hand recount, as the machine recount placed Scott in the lead by only 0.15 percent, well within the 0.25 percent margin to require it. Mr Trump and Republicans have claimed voter fraud without offering any evidence.

At least 44 out of 67 counties have finished their hand recount in the Senate race.
