"If she was a Republican and she was running against Trump in the primary, I'd have a tough decision to make", Watters quipped.

Videos uploaded to Ms Winfrey's and Ms Abrams' social media showed the television personality knocking on doors canvassing for the hopeful governor.

Vice President Mike Pence said Thursday a vote for Brian Kemp is tantamount to support for President Donald Trump, as he assailed Democrat Stacey Abrams and her high-profile supporters at a rally that attracted thousands in Dalton. Winfrey has since dismissed the notion that she would challenge Trump in 2020.

"All of us may have been created equal, but if you're woke. you've got sense enough to know that everybody is not treated equally", she said.

"Surprised?" the woman, named Denise, said.

"And Georgia wants a governor that's going to put Georgia values and Georgia first", he said. "I came for myself and I approve this message".

Winfrey did not mention Pence who, in appearances same day, charged Abrams with being "bankrolled by Hollywood liberals" and derided Winfrey's presence as well as a recent campaign appearance for Abrams by Will Ferrell.

The Georgia gubernatorial race is one of the more contentious races of the midterm elections. "I'm kind of a big deal too and I've got a message, I've got a message for all of Stacey Abrams' liberal Hollywood friends". Those allegations, which are largely unfair, have brought another former president into the discussion: former Georgia governor Jimmy Carter, who amplified calls for Kemp to resign his current position. With Metz consistently pulling down just a couple of points of support, no poll of the race so far has either Kemp nor Abrams breaking 50 percent.
