"People know how to call the cops".

"In order to have an investigation. we have to have victims and witnesses who are willing to come forth with whatever information that they have", Foxx said. The series featured accounts from accusers and Kelly's close friends on his life and allegations of abuse, predatory behavior and pedophilia.

In the last week, Chance the Rapper and Lady Gaga became the latest artists to apologize for collaborating with Kelly, with Gaga pledging to remove the duet "Do What U Want (With My Body)" from streaming services. One man pulled his hood up over his head before he entered the building, which appeared to be filled with a crowd.

After the acquittal, Kelly vowed not to abandon the explicit music that helped make him famous.

She also added: "I'm sorry, both for my poor judgement when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner".

'I watched some of it yesterday, as much as I could tolerate, ' the music mogul, 47, said of the docu-series in an episode of Hip Hop Motivation this week.

Foxx said that as a survivor of sexual assault herself, she was "sickened by the allegations".

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx addressed reporters on Tuesday afternoon after her office had been inundated with calls about the allegations in the documentary, some tied to his Chicago-area home.

Grammy winning singer and songwriter R. Kelly is under legal scrutiny in two states, Georgia and IL, for sexual and physical abuse by multiple women. The Fulton County investigators "haven't confirmed or denied an investigation", he said, but they asked him Monday for contact information for witnesses.

Timothy previously filed a police report against fellow Kelly manager James Mason, who also allegedly threatened him. Prosecutors had argued a videotape showed him engaged in graphic sex acts with a girl as young as 13.

R. Kelly may now be under criminal investigation for sexual abuse, but that did not stop him from publically celebrating his 52nd birthday, and it certainly did not stop him from shadily addressing the controversy.

The Thursday club outing mirrors Kelly's actions after his May concert at UIC was canceled.

Despite the police interruption, Kelly appeared to be unfazed as shown in a fan-recorded video.

But new charges stemming from that case are unlikely, said Richard Kling, a criminal law professor at IIT-Kent College of Law.

"There are no underage women, there is no sex cult, it's all some reality TV made up story", Greenberg said.

Another protest is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, again outside the studio.

On Wednesday, in an interview with WGN News, Greenberg said no one in Chicago has come forward with accusations because Kelly did nothing illegal.
