Delon Wright, C.J. Miles getting traded to Memphis for Marc Gasol

This is kind of the question after the Raptors acquired Marc Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies at the trade deadline Thursday in a deal first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Gasol, while at 34 is eight years older than the big Lithuanian, is a three-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA, and a former Defensive Player of the Year. Two days later, Memphis traded away its career leader in points, rebounds and blocks to at least get something in case Gasol opted out this summer.

Gasol, 34, is averaging 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and a career-high 4.7 assists (which ranks second among National Basketball Association centers, trailing only Nikola Jokic's 7.7).

Valanciunas hasn't played in almost two months after suffering a dislocated thumb, but is ready to return to the lineup.

Leonard also has a player option for 2019-20, worth $21 million. Conley is third at 12 seasons. And then a little after midday the Milwaukee Bucks jumped in, pilfering sweet-shooting big man Nikola Mirotic from the New Orleans Pelicans for roster flotsam and draft picks, an addition that will make the East-leading Bucks even more of a handful than the Toronto Raptors have already found them to be. "Mike is one heck of a player, and we're going to need good players moving forward". That is what I want to do.

Instead, they just matched the 22 wins from last season on Tuesday in a game Gasol left the arena early after being benched without explanation.

The Raptors are now sitting behind the Milwaukee Bucks in second place in the NBA's Eastern Conference. He's now averaging 4.7 assists per game, the highest mark of his career and the second-most among centres this season behind only Nikola Jokic.

Miles, 31, is averaging 5.5 points and 1.7 rebounds this season.
