Manchester City star Raheem Sterling revealed he was "buzzing" after former club Liverpool completed a stunning comeback to reach the Champions League final.

Liverpool stuttered for the second time in six days at London Stadium following their 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

"It's a dream to be here, I didn't expect it when we were seven points behind [Liverpool, at the start of 2019]".

Global figures for the full season are not yet in with one final weekend of fixtures to go but they are tracking much higher and in several territories across the globe the Premier League has achieved its highest ever audience for an individual match.

Liverpool and City head into the final day of the season separated by just a point at the top of the table.

That is because Liverpool, who have 94, have taken the battle to the final game of the season in a remarkable title race.

"It's a privilege. We are in this position because we won a lot of games, 13 in a row, we have to win one more in the Premier League and that is what we have to do", he said at his pre-match press conference.

Huddersfield Town, Fulham and Cardiff City have already been relegated while Chelsea are certain of a top-four finish and Tottenham Hotspur can only be denied by an improbable scenario in which they lose to Everton at home and Arsenal win at Burnley and also bridge an eight-goal inferior goal difference.

"Hopefully, we will be able to win many more trophies together". Both parades, should they go ahead, will begin at 4pm. But the only thing we can do is to win the game.

The Seagulls have lost all three of their Premier League games versus City by two-goal margins.

All of the pressure is on Manchester City as they travel to the south coast knowing a win away to Brighton will see them retain the title.

City have clocked up 95 points in their defence of the crown - a figure that was a competition record until a year ago - but victory is not yet secure.

Whatever happens on Sunday, Liverpool fans have something else to look forward to this season, but it seems certain that Klopp isn't going to have any problems motivating his players after Tuesday night.

The result left City with a one-point advantage going into the final day of the season. "From our point of view, we couldn't have done any more".

Sterling has flourished this season, scoring 17 league goals and tallying 10 assists for Pep Guardiola's City.
