English team Tottenham miraculously qualified to the UEFA Champions League final on Wednesday evening, May 8, after beating Ajax Amsterdam 3-2, with a last-minute goal.

It was the second straight campaign the Catalan club was knocked out of the Champions League after squandering a three-goal first leg advantage, and head coach Ernesto Valverde's position has come under scrutiny.

"That, on the one hand, is good, it is part of the evolution of modern football and the desire to play the ball more and more".

Therefore even if the fee was the £10million that Liverpool paid Hull City for the defender in 2017, an additional £100m would be added due to the clause.

"A moment like this is worth more than silverware".

According to reports in Andy Robertson's native Scotland, scans on the Liverpool left-back's calf injury have provided positive news ahead of the final two games. "Everybody gave me the feeling that, not people inside [Liverpool], that you have to win silverware".

"It is just making sure the players we are working with are as prepared as they can be".

After the suffering of the last week, the Camp Nou crowd's reaction will be an intriguing one on Sunday as Getafe visit, and Valverde expects them to be supportive. But we're still in this season and still anything is possible. "It's just a different finish".

"I don't know if he is an academy player or not, but the kid knew what he was going to do".

"And today perhaps even more so, because the distance between the teams of high level has been reduced, especially in big competitions".

Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima has argued that FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi has to shoulder some of the responsibility for Tuesday's crushing defeat in Liverpool.

"Long term for England, we need them in those matches and our job as a staff is to adapt to those changes and make sure we're still prepared for the semi-final with Holland".

"They surprised us with the fourth goal - presumably my players weren't looking". With our help, the boys use the right tools in the right moments.

"We saw Chelsea and Arsenal [reach the Europa League final] - what's the difference between us?" That's not the difference really but we've been so consistent, that's the difference.

"When we face each other, it's not 20 points, it's about a moment here or there, but consistency has made the difference points-wise".
