Carrasco showcased his talent when plying his trade for Atletico Madrid before securing a mega-money switch to the Chinese Super League.

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on their first signing of the summer, with Belgian global Yannick Carrasco set to join from CSL outfit Dalian Yifang. Still, if it turns out they won't let me go. #Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign him from #DalianYifang.

"He was courted by #Gunners last January, but #Emery opted to sign Denis Suarez on loan, because chinese asked €30M".

He was linked with a move to Arsenal as well as Inter and AC Milan in January, however, the move failed to materialise and he has since been joined at Dalian by former Napoli captain Marek Hamsik. The winger has done fairly well during his spell in China, bagging 14 goals and setting up 11 more in 36 matches till date.

However, quite inevitably, Carrasco looks set to return to European football after a brief stint in China and has confirmed that there is an offer that he is looking forward to, "There is now an offer on the table and the negotiations with my agent are progressing well".

"From a family point of view, I would rather play in Europe and stay closer to my family".

Arsenal have been long-term admirers of the winger, who was an ever-present in the Belgian national team that finished third in last year's FIFA World Cup.

The Gunners were linked with a move to sign Carrasco in the January transfer window past year but the former Atletico Madrid man chose to make a transfer to the Far East to play for Chinese club Dalian Yifang.

Nonetheless, the winger has attracted interest from some big European clubs, owing to his ever-present global status, and Arsenal seem to have done enough to sign him.

North London giants Arsenal have made a big goalkeeper decision ahead of next season according to the publication from the Daily Mirror.
